Racing Car Driving

What does the activity include? After a detailed briefing your expert instructor will demonstrate the finer points of driving at speed before you take to the wheel of a performance saloon on the race track. Then it’s into a Single Seater Racing Car for the adrenaline pumping experience of a lifetime. (Please note that at Silverstone and Rockingham the whole experience will be completed in a Formula First Single Seater). Where does the experience take place? Castle Combe in Wiltshire Knockhill in Scotland Goodwood in West Sussex (weekdays only) Thruxton in Hampshire Wigan in Lancashire Rockingham in Northamptonshire Donington in Derbyshire What should I wear? Please wear casual clothing and dress appropriately for the weather conditions. We suggest long sleeve shirts long trousersand light flat-soled shoes. A warm waterproof jacket and gloves are also advisable in the event of rain or cold weather. How long should I allow for this experience? You should expoect to be at the venue for 1.5 - 2.5 hours. The actual course duration is dependent on location. When does the activity take place? Selected dates throughout the year. Depending on the location chosen the courses may be held on weekends or weekdays. We recommend you book at least six to eight weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability. Are there any restrictions? Minimum age 18 (17 years at Thruxton and Knockhill) Minimum height 5 foot 2 ins Maximum height 6 foot 2ins (6 foot 5 ins at Thruxton and 6 foot 4 ins at Rockingham and Wigan) Maximum weight 16 stone (18 stone at Thruxton Wigan & Rockingham) All participants must have held a driving licence for one year (this is with the exception of Knockhill as long as you have a full licence you can participate). What about the weather? If the activity is cancelled due to weather conditions you will be offered an alternative date. Can I bring spectators? Spectators are welcome. What else do I need to know? YOU MUST TAKE YOUR DRIVING LICENCE WITH YOU ON THE DAY The course content and vehicles used on these courses vary slightly according to location but the majority have a mix of both sports saloons and single seater racing cars (with the exception of Silverstone and Rockingham where the whole experience will take place in a Single Seater). Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue. Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included. Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees.
